SWE members joined the IEEE and students for a terrific tour of Mobile Robots in Amherst, NH. Members were welcomed to the facility by a talking robot that asked them to follow it to the conference room. Once everyone had arrived, Rory MacKean, an engineer at Mobile Robots explained a bit about the company and its products. He gave a demonstration of the robot capabilities and the interface software used to control it. The group then toured the facilities and were treated to a showcase of the robot products, accessories, and manufacturing areas. The evening concluded with a Q&A session that spurred interaction and encouragement of the students in attendance.Photos of the event are available in our Photo Gallery.

We're excited about the recent partnership between US FIRST Robotics and SWE! We'd like to extend an invitation to all the SWE members in your section to attend our local regional, Granite State Regional at the Verizon Center in Manchester, NH on Friday and Saturday, March 5th and 6th. This is an exciting day where teams get to showcase their robots in a competition against other local teams.
