Call for Nominations for FY2011 SWE Southern NH Section Officers

It is time to elect officers to govern the SWE southern NH section for FY2011.  These officers will serve for FY2011 beginning July 1, 2010 through June 30, 2011 (a one year term).  To hold an office one must be a SWE professional member in good standing.  A non-member can run if their application is in process, but they must be a professional member by the time they assume office.

Officer positions being elected:

President
1st Vice President
Treasurer
Secretary
Representative to the Region Council (Rep)
2nd VP of Programs
3rd VP of Outreach
Alternate Representative to the Region Council (Alt Rep)

Descriptions of duties, responsibilities, and qualifications for these officers can be found under the "About Us" section as "Section Officer Summaries SWE-SNH FY11".  This document also includes a more detailed description of the election process.

The deadline for submitting candidate nominations is April 1, 2010.  Candidates may be self nominated.  A "willingness to be considered" consent form must be submitted.  This is also posted with the officer descriptions on the website as "FY11 SWE-SNH Call for Nom Attachments."  Each candidate will be allowed to submit a statement no longer than 250 words, to be distributed to members along with the election ballot.  The slate of officer candidates will be issued by April 15th.  A 15 days period will then commence for petition ballots (also described in the "Section Officer Summaries SWE-SNH FY11" document on the website).  The ballot will be issued no later than May 1st, with returns due 21 days later.  A simply majority of the votes cast will determine the outcomes.
