Holiday Lunch Makes an Impact

This year's SWE holiday lunch was held jointly with SNH and Boston at
Olive Garden in Tyngsboro, MA. The lucnheon was well attended by both
groups and was followed by shopping for all those who were interested
in tax-free NH. Members enjoyed a great lunch with good conversation
and a fun Yankeee Swap. Pictures from the lunch are posted in the Photo Gallery.

Donations for Bridges,
a organization for  domestic and sexual violence support, were accepted
by the Director, Dawn Reams. Dawn talked briefly about their services,
their local shelters, and the problems they face. After the lunch, Dawn said "I was overwhelmed by SWE’s generosity.  The
donated toiletries, paper goods, pillows, coat, tote bags, canned goods
etc. will go to great use at our emergency shelter, Janice’s House. 
Janice’s House is Bridges home for women and children fleeing domestic
violence.  Most often, these women and children come to us with only
the clothing on their backs.  The items that your group donated will
assist these women and children in rebuilding their lives, and finally
living free from violence." She also invited all
members to attend open houses at the office to learn about volunteer
