FY22 SWE-SNH Officer Slate
Nomination and Election Process
The nominating committee is responsible for soliciting candidates from the section members and issuing a slate which includes members who are both qualified to run and have expressed their interest in writing to the President. Any candidate, including petitioners, must submit a “Willingness to be Considered” form. The nominating committee arranges for the distribution of ballots, receives and counts the votes, and reports the results to the membership.
Elections must be completed by June 30th. To meet this timeline, the call for nominations for FY22 was issued with a deadline of April 1, 2021. The slate will be issued by April 6, 2021. The nomination by petition period will close April 19, 2021. Ballots will be issued by April 23, 2021 and voting will take place for at least 21 days. Voting will close on May 14, 2021.

Following the slate being issued, additional candidates may be nominated by petition:

Nomination by Petition Procedure
Following the slate being issued, additional candidates may be nominated by petition:
- The member is eligible for the position;
- The member has given written consent to being placed on the ballot;
- A minimum of five voting section members have signed a petition or by collection of emails from the five voting section members to place the candidate’s name on the ballot; and
- The petition, together with the written consent, is submitted to the executive council within fifteen days after the slate is announced to the members of the section. (Petition for FY22 required by April 19, 2021)
