CALL FOR NOMINATIONS - FY2023 SWE Southern NH Section Officers
ACTION REQUIRED by April 1, 2022
It is time to elect officers to govern the SWE Southern NH section for FY2023!
Do you aspire to be a recognized leader but you have no management experience on your resume and your current career path isn’t getting you there? What if you could get that training in an atmosphere of support and camaraderie? Then consider a SWE-SNH officer position and while you train you’ll help to shape the future of the SWE-SNH section.
FY23 officers will serve beginning July 1, 2022 through June 30, 2023 (a one year term). To hold an office one must be a SWE professional member in good standing. A non-member with an application in process or a student member can run, but they must be a professional member by the time they assume office.
SWE-SNH Section Officer positions being elected:
“Section Officer Summaries”, found at the SWE SNH website www.swesnh.org/officer-position-summaries.html describes the duties, responsibilities and qualifications for these offices, including a more detailed description of the election process.
The deadline for submitting candidate nominations is April 1, 2022. Candidates may be self nominated. A “willingness to be considered” consent form must be submitted. A copy of the nomination form and consent form can be found on the bottom of this page.
The slate of officer candidates will be issued by April 6, 2022. A 15-day period will then commence for petition ballots (also described in “Section Officer Summaries”). The ballot will be issued no later than April 23, with returns due 21 days later. Each candidate will be allowed to submit a statement no longer than 250 words, to be distributed to members along with the election ballot. A simple majority of the votes cast will determine the outcome.
