Detailed description:
A brief presentation will be given with the goal to give an overview of the rules of the electrical industry. The presentation will answer the following questions:
- How the Codes are developed?
- What do they cover?
- Why and how are product safety standards developed?
- Who enforces the rules?
After the presentation, a tour of the FCI Burndy Electrical Test Lab will take place showing how electrical connectors are tested along with other capabilities of the lab.

Experience
Over forty-one years of electrical industry experience with FCI Burndy. Designed connectors and accessories for airplanes, electrical transmission (up to 500 kV ac) & distribution lines, electrochemical plants, nuclear power plants (LOCA & seismic), all of the connections for the EEI-EPRI 1100 kV Waltz Mill, PA Substation and all in the converter stations at The Dalles, OR and Sylmar, CA for the ± 400 kV dc Northwest-Southwest DC Intertie.
